As a neighbor I was surprised when we learned there were so many. Lol. Unless you personally know them and have visited, you would never know! If they want to raise chickens they should be allowed to!

Good, wholesome and responsible people I know personally and should have the right to properly care for and own their chickens!

I feel as THROUGH the law needs to be changed , and as long as the neighbors are not complaining there shouldn't be a problem. I had chickens as well. We should be able to raise and eat our own food grown in our own BACK yards so we can show our kids the hard work and the benefits as well, and how it helps our body. It's more beneficial then going to the market and all or most of our foods that are F.D.A. approved ,is also coming back germs or there is a recall because people have eatting the food and gotten sick and died. So I feel as THROUGH.We.should be able to ha e live feed on our land at least about forty to fifty chickens. I hope it pass into law. I know my kids will be happy. As WELL

A family trying to live off the land and giving to the community should be celebrated, not held back!

We Loved our birds. We have a rediculous amount of room but were violating the 1 acre law. Once our neighbors were notified that their ducks must vacate the property we chose to pass our birds to another farm. I agree the # of birds should be limited to the size of the real estate and they should not be an issue for the neighborhood of smell or noise. Chickens are peaceful creatures the are very thereputic to raise and watch. Once this law changes I will have them again.

I am a neighbor who didn't even realize you had chickens. Which clearly means they have not been a nuisance. I'd love to have some myself one day!

I would love to raise my own chickens so that I can better know where my food is coming from.

As a current resident of Anne Arundel County who is looking to move to Baltimore County with her family in the near future, the current law is a huge negative point on my list of Cons. Unless this is changed, Baltimore City will be our choice when it comes time to move due to their significantly more sensible laws regarding chickens.
