LET THE BOY PLAY

As a former high school athlete, I cannot imagine what this boy is feeling - sadness, anger, frustration and of course, helplessness. I understand why there’s a one year period which in a transfer has to sit out, but this is a senior in high school. What are the chances he’d want to repeat his senior year just to be eligible to play?! I’m banking on them being incredibly slim. Come on, LHSAA.

Please carefully reconsider your decision here. This young man doesn’t deserve this.

This was a injustice caused by a coach out to get a former player and his family. The former school tried to keep him illegally and even forced the kid to have to use the Jersey he wore . They tried to pay his father to keep him at their school .

I have known this young man, Andrew Robison, since he was born. As an educator and neighbor, I have followed his school years in both sports and education. He is an exceptional individual who has worked hard to succeed in all areas. Through no fault of his own, he is now being denied the right to continue to play high school football during his senior year. I strongly support all efforts to enable Andrew to play football again as soon as possible.
