The arbitrator officially reversed the ruling and Andrew is back on the field. This victory belongs to everyone who stood with us when the outcome seemed impossible. Keep an eye on local school athletic policies to ensure this never happens to another student.

10/30/18 UPDATE: A monumental decision was made by an independent arbitrator who reversed the LHSAA ruling. Andrew is fully eligible to play football!

You made the difference; this success wouldn’t have been possible without the support from people like you. Your support is so greatly appreciated – thank you!

-----

Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond his control, our star football quarterback and senior Andrew Robison has been denied the opportunity to play football at Hahnville High School for the entire year. We need your help to get him back on the field.

We have created this petition so that our voices are heard and have set the goal to collect 10,000 signatures. We plan to take this petition to Governor John Bel Edwards and the Louisiana General Assembly asking that they take immediate action so we can get Andrew playing on Friday. We urge you to join our movement today by adding your name to this petition.

Last May, Andrew transferred to Hahnville High School. The Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) claims that the transfer from his previous high school to Hahnville was not handled properly thereby benching him for the season. When asked what he could have done differently, the LHSAA outright avoided Andrew’s question and refused to answer him.

We believe proper steps were not followed or performed by the LHSAA and because of that, the consequences fall on an innocent high school senior and football player who only wants to finish the season with his team and pursue his dream of playing college football.

We are taking this opportunity to stand up, speak out, and fight for what is right - for Andrew and his future, his team and Hahnville High School, and for the future of other students.

For the past three years, Andrew has dedicated himself to be the best high school quarterback in the state of Louisiana. Please show your support for Andrew by signing this petition so we can get him back on the field this Friday and on the field for every upcoming game for the duration of his senior year.

The support shown by Andrew’s teammates, fellow students, the community and Hahnville High School has been overwhelming. Now we need to ensure our voices are being heard.

Thank you.

The momentum behind this effort is undeniable and it proves that people are paying attention to this injustice. Now we need to turn this energy into direct action by calling your local representatives to demand accountability from the LHSAA. Tell them Andrew deserves his final season on the field.

Why should Andrew suffer for others mistakes. We should encourage and support our youth, leading them into a productive adult life. Football is obviously a possible career for this young man. Please don't deny and rob him of a career and/or a college scholarship.

This child should not be penalized due to the fact his father lost his job and had to move to accept another. Especially his senior year where colleges will be out scouting. This could have an affect on his future. Please consider reinstating him. Thabk you.

I have known Andrew since he was 7 years old. He is filled with integrity, honor and humility. For him to be stripped of playing the game he loves during his last year of eligibility is a crime! Something must be done to overturn this vote.

Andrew is my daughter’s best friend. He has been raised by great parents and he is one of the best kids I know. He lives his life with great integrity and honesty is so important to him. Please help us right this wrong. Let Andrew Robison play!!

It’s sad that LHSAA has altered the course of this young man’s life. He has no control of where he lives or where his parents work. The behavior of Vanderbilt’s head coach towards this child is what should have received sanctions and fines not Andrew and HHS.

This is the most unfair and absurd ruling I have ever seen, especially with the fact he ask his coach at Vanderbilt if he could wear their jersey and he said NO! It’s like this was an entire set up for one of the most honest young men I know.

I think the schools policy and rules needs to change these ridiculous rules for sports players! The kids are our future and as long as they making the grades and able to play that's just what they should beable to do, not stop them from acheiving their dreams, goals and success!
