Increase in crime for this ETJ area of Raleigh. With the number of crime incidents and low performing schools located in this area, homes are reselling at a much slower rate compared to other housing markets across Wake County

The neighborhoods in this area are suffering from foreclosures and investment rental companies buying into the neighborhood to rent out the homes and is heavily renter occupied. The current roads can't currently handle the amount of people who live on the side between Rock Quarry, Barwell, and Poole Roads. Reason many of the spot to this area was because they were going to put it golfing community towards this area and it was supposed to be up and coming in after the market crash of real estate you trying to turn this area into low income area.

Please do not support this new development. It is not good for the communities or homeowners.

I agree that the site seems targeted -- for both racial and economic reasons. Southeast Raleigh has appealed to middle income individuals who wish to purchase a home without being "house poor", and thus, has become an area populated mostly by minorities. This project will stifle the financial progress of hard-working, middle class citizens aiming towards a better financial future. In building a "housing project" in this area, you will be condemining southeast Raleigh to a solid reputation as a less-than-desireable place to live. Home values -- already shakey -- will plumet. Neighbors and concerned citizens, please keep your eyes and ears open, less they sneak this one in. I see another "chicken plant" scenario in the works.
