The disease that is addiction is not widely understood, it is seen as a character flaw or a bad habit. I know that this is not the case. Trevor was constantly in a battle with his illness. I am signing this petition for the entire Nelson family so that hopefully they can find peace in the thought that they are saving another family from suffering this loss.

It hurt my heart seeing people that have touched my life leave the world too soon. My thoughts and heart goes to Trevor's family and others who have mourned the death of their loved ones before their time.

I am in recovery myself almost overdosed 2 times then I made my decision to quit I'm on day 7 cold turkey let's just say itsbeen hell but I'll make it and so can others. It takes a lot of will power and support.good luck I hope this helps someone

My heart knows that Trevor is in heaven now with a “real man” – His Lord!. He was a Christian and had a very personal relationship with God; since he was a very little boy, he has prayed every day and he was very proud of that
