Kenmore.... A City by the Lake, with no athletic fields for their youth". The least you can have done was finish the Environmental Study you already started. Unfortunate in SO MANY WAYS. Look at Woodinville, Shoreline, Mill Creek, Bothell, Lynnwood, Monroe..... you get the idea, or do you?

Support local youth. Invest in fields and sports as you have committed to do; anything less is unacceptable.

Providing safer and more usable fields or upgrading fields to make them more safe and usable is needed for the children in our community. We request City of Kenmore reconsider completing the Environmental Impact Study so that any concerns in it can be reasonably addressed. Providing these needed fields has many benefits to the community and improves the safety of the children in it. We would hope the City of Kenmore wants to improve safety for children in our community.

Council Please move forward with confidence and intent to succeed and not be manipulated. This city’s future depends families. Our elementary and teenaged children need this. Our community and active adults need this. Make it right.

I find it unbelievable that the city Council doesn’t listen to its constituents that elected them. It’s clear the majority has asked for more fields for the growing population of youth playing sports in the community. The recent actions dismissing the ballfields at Saint Edwards is shameful!

I grew up in Kenmore, playing little league on all of the same fields that my children do now. Most have seen very little to no improvements in decades. Youth sports are an important staple in any community, and playable fields are a huge part of that. Kenmore has been lacking in this area and has fallen behind other local communities. This forces families to drive outside of Kenmore for most games rather than bringing people from neighboring communities (and their money to spend at local businesses) our direction.

My children are grown and now I'm helping my grandchildren play. We want to encourage our children in outdoor sports and this rejection from the Kenmore City Council is shameful. Hopefully they will correct their mistake....and soon!

The current ballfields in Kenmore are unsafe and we are forced to pay other cities to use their fields. The environmental impact can easily be mitigated to allow both.

Our kids need sports programs today more than ever with all the pressures of society and technology. Please do what’s right and don’t take the availability of our sports programs here in the Kenmore community away from our kids! It’s more than just playing ball, it’s building a culture of respect, teamwork, friendship and sportsmanship- I can’t imagine my kids growing up without those critical qualities!

8422 NE 156th Street KENMORE, WA 98028 My boys have grown up since t ball playing on these horrible soggy fields . I also am s lifetime resident of the area born and raised within 2 miles of ST Ed’s. I love it too. My boys won’t need the benefits of this but I hope their kids will. It is the complete injustice to our community. I am also an executive board member for North Lake LL And I know firsthand the ridiculous amount of money we have to spend on using neighboring communities fields.
