We need more space for our kids to play, run, practice sports - with the help of downtown youth sports this is possible. take your part in it and provide downtown with soccer fields on pier 40!

Having been a board member, coach and parent involved in sports in lower Manhattan for the past decade, I can't overstate how important adequate field space is for our kids. And, in recent years, there simply is not enough of it. As the City's leaders welcome new housing and business development, it does seem that less attention is paid to the well being and needs of our youth. The programming of the Gansevoort Peninsula must include a full sized field to help alleviate the lack of field space for our kids.
