Ensuring adequate space for children to play is critical in any community, especially New York City. The growth of the number of organizations that provide sports opportunities for our children is neither a surprise nor a mistake. As this petition accurately states, there are more and more families choosing to stay in downtown Manhattan. There are great schools and services in the area, which encourage families to stay and raise their children. The least we can do is provide adequate play spaces for our children.
