The game of field hockey is played widely across the world. Field hockey is, in fact, the second largest team sport in the world played in over 100 countries. The game is also played in many schools and offers a lifetime of both sporting and social opportunities for players, officials and coaches. However Field Hockey is not offered in all public schools in CMS. Almost every private school such as Country Day, Latin, and Providence day all have highly sponsored field hockey programs sponsored by their schools. So why shouldn't Myers Park? The purpose of this petition is to take that next step toward making field hockey a school sponsored sport at Myers Park High School.
