The good news is that BT have been rolling out Fibre to Armadale and lots of people have it.

The Bad News is that anyone south of Lower Bathville road will not be getting Fibre. That means any of the 166 households in the Sovereign Court development.

The reason given by BT is that it's not economically viable, and the council have not decided to step in. This petition is to show BT that we want Fibre, not our slow and poorly connected ADSL broadband.

As an example, people in Malace Avenue are being offered Fibre at up to 76Mb, way more than my current 6Mb. In Gracies Wynd, they're being offered 16Mb Fibre.

If you agree that we should have Fibre, and would be prepared to pay for it, then please sign this petition. Remember, depending on when you signed up for broadband, Fibre may actually be cheaper. And in most cases that it's more expensive, it could be as little as £5 per month more.
