Final supporters
There's a demand for faster internet speeds in our area, especially upload speed. This includes not only Beloit, but the surrounding cities/towns in the Rock County area. With the current ISPs in our area, we get around 30-100Mbps download and 2-5Mbps upload — which isn't very much, if you have a basic understanding on internet speeds.
With Google Fiber, we could have 1,000Mbps download and 1,000Mbps download speeds also known as 1GB internet. Plans start at $70/month and $50/month for 100Mbps of download/upload.
They also offer TV service and home phone service where calls to and from the U.S. and Canada are FREE

We ask that anyone who comes across this petition support the effort to bring Fiber to the area!
***After obtaining a sufficient amount of signatures/supporters, the number of signatures and statistics will be given to Google Fiber as well as the City Manager and County official(s).
By signing and sharing this petition with others, together, we can grab the attention of Google as well as city officials who negotiate terms with building new services like Fiber to our area.***Anyones effort to improve the number of supporters will be greatly appreciated!

I want to be able to follow the news on Beloits scanner page because I live here.
YES!! I’ve been looking for a switch from Charter and their awful, expensive service!! Please come to Beloit.. PLEASE.
For one the people should not be charged for a signal to use free of cost. Internet such as email and online applications, unemployment, all types of agencies require internet based communication. Should be available
Your prices are a little high still you need to meet the market if those who only offer internet but it's a good choice to have
Faster speeds with fiber are a great idea. Keep in mind that Media com does fiber Internet in Wisconsin, Iowa, and Illinois, but it costs a fortune.

Please, our isp gets off with what it offers us. Can't stream out video well and barely can watch streamed content. We signed up for 60mb service and are luck to get 1/3rd of that.
