No one will be losing their job over this. If any of the faculty in question resign and relocate to another institution, it will be detrimental to Freed-Hardeman and her students.

That simply is not true. The images in the art book and classes that Mr. Sword has become offended by hold no parallel to those of Playboy or any pornographic magazine or resource. To believe that they are the same is to reject God's design and appreciation for the human body.

Mrs. Webb, please understand that much of what you have read is the result of one man not getting his way and several others not putting up with his bullying tactics. The documentation is in no way verified and at best represents an exaggerated version of one side of the story. Freed-Hardeman is bettering her ability to serve and educate her students with each and every passing year. You have much to be proud of as an alumni!

This quote was taken completely out of context and Mr. Sword should be ashamed of the way he has portrayed some of the absolute best examples of Christian Scholars in the country.

Mr. Young, please understand that much of what Mr. Sword has included in his (uncertified, one-sided) documentations are, at best, exaggerations of the truth, if not complete fabrications. Freed-Hardeman is a fine academic and Christian institution.

The "wickedness" as depicted in Mr. Sword's website is, at best, exaggerated, if not completely fabricated in some instances. I encourage you to remember there are two sides to every story.

No generation of students has ever been or is being taught at FHU that any sin is okay under any circumstance. That is a complete and total lie. The only students that have spoken out from this come from a family that has somehow become indoctrinated with the belief that any nudity at all, even that which does not genitalia, is sinful.

Henderson church of Christ used instrumental music for a time when AG and NB were around. Let’s not get carried away. They were flawed men as are those serving at FHU now. I personally know most of the FHU staff members accused in these “documents” and they are upstanding Christians. Judge not, sir.

I received my BS in Biology from FHU. To do so, I was required to show an intimate understanding of (among other things) both the male and female reproductive systems, including ability to identify parts on pictures, diagrams, models, etc. This was required as a core class for my degree. Your statements seem suggest that no Christian should EVER look at things like this, and those who do are in jeopardy for eternity, which sounds a BIT judge-y to my ears. Phil 2:12 (Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling) seems to suggest that we can co-exist as Christians on some of these “non-salvation” issues with grace and peace. It’s all about agreeing with the moral authority and not assuming that role ourselves. As Christians, we should surrender to the authority of Christ instead of insisting others follow our lead/recommendations. And speaking of modesty, perhaps blasting this out on the Internet isn’t the most modest approach to handle. Just my opinion.

F-HU has been headed in the wrong direction for a number of years. Doctrinal comprise with error always leads to moral compromise. There is no way that either A.G. Freed or N.B. Hardeman would endorse F-HU in its present status.

This breaks my heart! Especially with the struggles our youth has with porn addiction...we preach about it from our pulpits but then require the same students to look at it and paint it! This is a sad day! I will be praying that this is changed!

I have a degree in graphics. I am a member of the church if Christ. It hasn’t been “mandatory” nor necessary to view or participate in nude art in class for any reason than someone thinks the body is an art form. I stand with the Bible and those rejecting the modernization of faith in a way contrary to the Word!
