We, the undersigned (current students, previous students, and alumni) hereby call upon the Palomar College Board of Governors, Dean, and faculty to exonerate and re-instate Professor J. Fent with all previous privileges, entitlements, rights and responsibilities as Advisor of the Alcohol and Other Drug Studies (AODS) / Psychological and Social Services Program.

My phone has been buzzing nonstop and I honestly keep staring at the screen in disbelief because I never expected this kind of response when I first typed this up at my kitchen table. It is starting to feel like the administration might actually have to acknowledge that Fent is essential to the program and deserves to be back in that office helping us all out again.

Mr. Fent is one of the reasons i kept going on with school when i wanted to quiet. He ignited the fire in me to continue on with the AODS program. He is one the most respected people i know. I personally think he is a wonderful teacher and person.
Professor Fent is an outstanding teacher. I have a California teaching Credential and a Masters in Secondary Education. Professor Fent meets all the qualifications of an excellent teacher: integrity, enthusiasm, knowledge of the subject matter, care, concern and empathy for his students as well as an ability to help each individual reach their full potential. He is an asset to the AODS program and the school as well.
Please re-instate Mr. Fent

Jim Fent is like a mentor to me!!! He has helped so many of us since taking over the AODS program at Palomar. He needs to be reinstated so he can continue to shape the counselors of tomorrow.
