I have seen it kill people in my life my family use to live beside it in a RV and it is not safe for people or animals at all I hope it gets shut down for ever And I agree stay out u stay alive

I don’t think people realize that this river changes every year, the cool swim spot from last year ain’t going to be the same , the water is higher from all the rain and snow which makes that current much stronger, I’m no saint I been in the killer kern myself plenty of times but I know better to get in when the water is high and swift and stay away from the spots that is moving fast. Not only that but even if the water looks smooth on top don’t mean that there ain’t a big current underneath. I would sit along the side enough to get my feet wet and wet my face enough to cool me down. so yes people stay out and stay alive. It’s not worth risking your life or a friends or family member, nobody should have to feel the pain of not knowing if their loved ones will be found and give them closer. Lastly these first responders risk their own lives trying to save and retrieving other people it’s a big risk for all people involved and very sad when people are found and sad when there not

Please close Keyesville to all non commercial use until the water recedes. The water currents in the underling gorge are deadly.

I'm signing this petition due to so many people have lost thier lives in the Dangerous Kern River. The are so kany signs that say Stay Out! Stay Alive, People still think its okay to get in and have fun but yet the river current is flowing so fast that so people loose thier life because they do not have the right safety gear on or do not know how to swim. Please close this river to the public. There are two missing teens and an 11 year old girl missing. For the saftey of the public. Please Close the Kern River.
