- The Kern River is too deadly to be open to the public. To many lives have been lost. The river is only "pretty" when someone you love hasn't died in it. It's only "rephreshing" when you haven't suffered the loss so someone you use to talk to every day, And can no longer even see because the killer Kern River took them faster than you could grab them to safety. Fun should be safe. Look but don't touch. Stay out and stay alive. If you feel the Killer Kern River needs to be closed at all access points and fines should be issued to those who don't abide. Please sign the petition let's make it happen. Let's save lives. It may not save every life, but it will save more lives.
