I have recently installed a 4' picket fence around my front yard. The reason for doing so, is I have an Awesomely Autistic daughter, just recently diagnosed. She doesn't understand the dangers of the road or the consequences that could come about. The yard in the front was enclosed due to the back yard already having a pool. So I thought next best thing would be to fence in the front yard. Whereas my daughter could experience a sense of normalcy in her life and I could watch her play safely in the front yard. Our house is located in a quite neighborhood, but all the locals use our street as a shortcut between two main roads in town. Very few of them do the speed limit or should I say below it! With no avail we've contacted the city for help. They'll come out and set up the strips to monitor the speeds. But never in the areas it's needed, always in front of the households with no children of playing age. The street light periodically works and when it doesn't it's dangerously dark. I myself have 6 kids that I love and provide for the other neighbors have 8 more running around here. All of them just being kids. We've asked repeatedly for help with both problems and still no resolutions have come. So I went in my pocket and built a fence to do what any parent would do. PROTECT THEIR CHILD! Today the city came and told me to take it down, I kindly told them NO, and I'll see you in court. Please help my daughter be a child..... #FenceforRaven
