As a feminist, I feel extremely concerned for Nivedita Menon's safety as she is being targeted and harassed by ZEE news and ABVP.

An admirable voice, we need to hear it more.

These are important debates required to expand the social and political thought in universities and in the country at large. Such kind of targeting of institutions and people is antithetical to free thought and speech and is detrimental to democracy and social progress. The state should stop targeting people and destroying institutions.

There seems to be an effort on the part of the government to suppress alternative voices employing government machinery. We must rise and unite to oppose it for if we do not there will be none behind us.

As a rights activist, I fully support Nivedita in her fight for our Constutional freedoms, which are being thawrted.

She is within her constitutional right.
