Feminine Care is Healthcare

Why We’re Fighting for Free Feminine Products
We’re two Grade 12 students in a Social Justice class, and we believe that period products should be free and accessible to everyone because periods don’t pause for poverty.
Every day, homeless women, single mothers, and students are forced to go without basic menstrual products. Some are choosing between diapers for their children or pads for themselves. Others are using unsafe alternatives, risking their health and dignity. That’s not just a personal issue. It’s a social justice crisis.
Menstrual products are not a luxury. They're a necessity. No one should be punished or held back simply because they menstruate. When we provide free period products in public washrooms, shelters, and schools, we’re not just meeting a need. We’re saying that everyone deserves dignity, safety, and respect.
We're taking a stand because change starts with us. Sign our petition. Help us fight period poverty and bring dignity to women and girls in every community.
