If in America it is illegal to hit a child then how in the world could one even come to question the incorrectness of such an action upon aninnocent child. Where in the Koran does it even state that such a practice is called for and even if it was it is no different than the church saying that one should not suffer a witch to live when we know that Christians do not go around killing witchs even though they disagree with thier beliefs and practices

Young women should never be objectified and mutilated, the removal of the female genital of a horrific crime against humanity. These women are treated like unworthy objects, meant to be used and thrown away. How can a modernized world still harbor such cruelty? If this petition can make a difference for anyone suffering within these regions, then the word must be spread and the petition must be publicized more. There is no excuse; not religion, and certainly not society standards.
