Female Athletes Sneaker Challenge
Please sign this petition and support the 6th Grade Arrows Basketball team as they challenge every sneaker brand and manufacturer to START MAKING FEMALE BASKETBALL SNEAKERS SPONSORED BY AND FEATURING FEMALE ATHLETES!
Our female athletes deserve equal pay and equal share in the marketplace. Many of the girls on our 6th grade CYO basketball team have a shoe size greater than size 5. As a young girl Riley pointed out to Stephan Curry recently, there are no shoes for female athletes over size 5 and instead, the student athletes are walked over to the mens basketball sneaker wall. This wall has shoes celebrating the accomplishments of Stephan Curry, and Kyrie Irving or Lebron James to name a few. No where are there sneakers celebrating the accomplishments of Maya Moore, Diana Taurasi, Candace Parker or Breanna Stewart.
Our young female athletes deserve to wear the sneakers of their female idol and our accomplished female athletes deserve their fair share at the lucrative sneaker contracts. Women have always had to fight to get equal pay, and so we are suggesting we use our purchasing power as female customers to assure female athletes realize their full earning potential. Increased marketing will result in increased ticket sales and increased shirt sales etc. etc.
WOMEN LET'S NOT WAIT FOR SOMEONE TO MAKE A CHANGE: SIGN THIS PETITION AND DIRECTLY CHALLENGE THE SNEAKER MANUFACTURERS TO GIVE US WHAT WE WANT: FEMALE BASKETBALL SNEAKERS FEATURING FEMALE BASKETBALL ATHLETES.
WHO WILL BE THE FIRST TO PROVE THAT WOMEN ATHLETES MATTER TOO!
