Dear Pacific Management,

During this global pandemic, hope you all are doing good and are safe.

We all are aware that the Coronavirus outbreak has been declared as a Global Health emergency by the World health Organization (WHO) and has impacted the life of all us drastically.

We are the parents of Pacific World School, Greater Noida (West) also known as Pacific World by DPS Indirapuram.

As we all are aware that many companies are deducting the salaries of their staff, some companies are sending their employees on leave without pay and business owned parents are also badly hit during this period and because of this parents are facing monetary issues in this pandemic situation and we don’t know that how long this situation will prevail.

Hence in such an uncertain situation where we all are badly affected both emotionally and financially, we are uprising against the issue of fees during the lockdown period. We request the School Management to reconsider the fee structure and revise the same in view of the present circumstances.

Below are the points which we as parents consider for the revision of fee structure:

1) Total fee payable monthly cannot be 100% Tuition Fee

The fees of Rs. 11,000/- per month which is being charged by Management as Tuition Fee was at the time of admission told to us to be all inclusive of all the facilities provided by the School including Infrastructure, meals, stationery being used by children in the school, various activities including sports activities done by the children in the school etc. for the duration of 5 to 7 hours which the kids would spend in the school.

School does not have to bear the day to day expenses like meals, stationery usage, electricity charges, water charges, activity cost for children etc , hence tution fee to be charged presently should not be 100 percent.

2) For online classes schools to not charge 100 percent Tuition Fee

Further, the tuition fees as mentioned above were supposed to be for 5 to 7 school hours. However, the online classes which are conducted by the school are conducted for half an hour to one hour.

Also we appreciate the school's effort in setting up the online classes. Perhaps it will be the new reality of teaching soon. Currently both parents and kids are struggling to get used to this new culture. It's very difficult getting optimised learning for our kids with this. Parents have to be self involved for teaching their kids. Lowering tuition fees would enable parents to buy supporting materials, better connectivity plans and better hardware phones, laptop for the continuation.

3) Financial Uncertainty of Parents

In the present scenario when most of the parents are going through financial uncertainty, if school helps in waiving off fees for the lockdown. It will help every parent in this unprecedented time.

4) Pacificians Appeal to Pacific Management

We are the same parents who trusted the Pacific World School for our wards among the other schools and now we are expecting support in this difficult time

5) Many other schools are adjusting fees structure for supporting parents in covid crisis

Many top schools in the whole country have taken up this step and have received lots of appreciation from the community for the same.

To our sheer dismay, in the present situation when mostly the schools are revising their fee structure and with some completely waiving off the fee payable for the first quarter, we have been informed and constantly reminded by the management of Pacific world school to submit the whole fee.

In this situation, it is really difficult for the parents to comply with this as many of us are already facing economic hardships and are under the pressure of uncertain conditions in the coming time.

We as parents in view of the points as mentioned above , feel the fee of Rs. 11,000/- which the school has totally categorized as tution fee is not justifiable considering the current scenario of schools being closed as per the government orders. So we would like to submit to the school management our genuine request to reconsider and revise the tuition fee payable as follows:

1. Complete Fee Waiver for the 1st Quarter
2. 75 percent fees waiver from 2nd Quarter till lockdown
3. Genuine fees after lockdown till the academic session 2020-21.

It will aid the parents to be able to combat this situation of mental and economical tough times.

We sincerely hope that the school will consider our request and take timely action regarding this matter.
