Campus Crossings of Statesboro is an off campus apartment complex associated with Georgia Southern University and within two months from October 2016 to now December 2016, two students have been murdered and 4 students wounded in this one complex. Us as students should feel safe and comfortable in our own home and we have yet to experience that. Needless to say Campus Crossings has a nasty staff, that does not care. Once the office is closed they go home to their families and we are here left with the crime. Since the October murder, they have only installed camera, but still shows no improvement, you would think with the crime over here they would improve security. Parents have called corporate and the local office and CC is refusing to let us out of our lease. Us as students need to come together and sign this petition so that we can be removed from these leases and move somewhere we feel comfortable and our parents know that their children are safe.
