A formal response from Dreamhost about their recent run of bad service
I've been a Dreamhost customer for nearly 5 years and host dozens of websites on their service. Starting in 2011, we have seen the service fail on all sorts of levels, but primarily the basic host services are getting worse and worse. Gone are the days where the 99.9% uptime guarantee actually meant something. I'm sick and tired of the pass we keep giving them, and their inability to respond to pressure from their customers. I'm most likely leaving dreamhost, but I want an explanation, and I want to hear from the source just what is going on, and why we should keep entrusting our websites (which, for most of us, is our livelihoods) with their service. Sign here to demand a public dialogue and discussion about how they're going to do better, and what we, as dedicated customers can expect in the coming months that will convince us to stay. We want to know!
