I'd love to take my well behaved buddy for a run up the hill in Buttermilk. What a great way to get him (and me) some exercise! It'd be nice to include him on our family walks to the park. This is worth serious consideration in my opinion.

We hear you, Steve. The proposed ordinance language is simply an effort to find middle ground. We wanted to present our request in a way that the City Council was most likely to support. Maybe some of the picnic or shelter areas can be designated dog-friendly to accommodate all users. We can certainly bring that option up as we continue to talk about this issue.

There's no reason we shouldn't be allowed to walk our dog through the park. As long as there cleaned up after and not on the park

Most of the restrictions are ok, but there's no reason to restrict dogs from the shelters or sitting on a bench. What if there's a family gathering in one of the shelters? I don't support this restriction, everything else is OK.

This is a very good thing for Fond du Lac! I would like everyone to realize that we are not the only city in WI or the U.S. to want leashed dogs in parks. It is everywhere and if it was such a big problem, I am sure we would hear about it all over the news. We can't improve our city and keep up with the times if people just want everything to remain stagnant in our fine city. Let's do this Fondy!!!
