46 out of 50 states are being sued for violating "Father rights" when determining custody. Arizona is a "Mother right" state, which means mothers are more likely to get full custody. When it comes to joint custody it is more likely that the mother will get more than 50% of the child(rens) time and/or rights.

I am a father of sound mind and body, my ex-wife has a history of mental health issues, drug abuse and attempted suicide. I currently get to see my beautiful daughter about 45% of the time. During the divorce process I was not even able to argue her condition in order to get full custody due to the judge suggesting joint custody for the sake of my child. My daughter has been dropped off with bumps, bruises, scatches, a human bite mark and even a curling iron burn. Is this for the sake of my child still? I have called Child Protective Services (CPS) and they took her word over the pictures and my baby's marks. I even tried to file a police report and since there was no proof to where it happen because my daughter can't talk yet, it was not filed as a report.

This is not to take away rights to the mothers, but to increase better judgements reguarding the childs safety by allowing logical evaluations to help determine custody. Let evidence of mental, physical, and substance abuse be relevant in all family law cases.

I been there. Lost my kids even though I was the stable one. The system is rigged against dads.

Get that baby out of there! Those injuries are proof enough. Praying for justice for you both.

Total BS. Fathers have rights too. Keep fighting for your little girl.

CPS is a joke. They failed you and your daughter. Something has to change in the system because this is happening way too often.

This is so unfair. My brother is dealing with the exact same thing right now. Courts just assume mom is the better parent no matter what evidence is right in front of them.

Heartbreaking to read. Kids need to be safe first and foremost. Courts should look at the facts and stop defaulting to the mother regardless of the situation.
