Too much time is spent by medical students trying to figure out how to best download the lecture videos hosted by Kaltura. Although these videos are informative, they can be time consuming and unnecessarily slow. Instead of using IT resources to figure out ways of hosting videos which students are unable to download, which will only be answered by students figuring out other ways to download them, our institution should use its IT resources to provide its students with a video player that best fits their needs. We ask for the TTUHSC SOM to please use a video host that allows for adjusting speeds of videos during streaming.
