If you get fuel from gas stations that use electronic pumps, especially in low-income neighborhoods, the sensors inside ofgas pumps are rigged.

Unlike most pumps that charge you by the flow of gas (meaning the gallons/price move faster based onhow hard you squeeze the nozzle), these pumps charge consumers the highest rate possible for simply touching the pump nozzle -- even if you barely touch it. Even towards the last quarter-gallon of your gas purchase (when most pumps automatically slow down for accuracy), these pumps continue charging for the highest rate until the last penny.

A few of the gas stations thathave been caught using these rigged pumps in Chicago: Marathon [71st & Damen]; Citgo [63rd & Damen]; and2001 [67th & Halsted]... but if you know of others please email us so we can add them to the petition.
