His Excellency, Babatunde Fashola (SAN), Executive Governor of Lagos State has been an epitome of excellence, prudence, vision and vigour. He has piloted the affairs of Lagos state, the fifth largest economy in Africa and a boiling pot of Nigeria diversities with focus and dedication. The initiatives of his government such as the Eko Atlantic City, the Light Rail Project, Lekki-Ikoyi Link bridge is a display of strategic foresight and long-term planning. His leadership and handling of the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) breakout in conjunction with Federal Authorities have been sterling and acknowledged globally.

Governor Fashola has been humble, dedicated, forthright, and unwavering in his commitment to the well-being and development of Lagos State. The State has enjoyed peace and security throughout his tenure, which has provided an enabling environment for economic prosperity and growth. Governor Fashola has been tried and tested in a challenging office as Governor of Lagos State.

As 2015 draws near, as Nigerians we need not look too far for our next leader. The ruling party, PDP has been in government forall 14 years of the fourth republic. The achievements recorded within this time compared to record oil revenues are astonishingly appalling. Corruption has been the order of the day. The North Eastern part of Nigeria has been terrorized by Boko Haram while the government watches on powerlessly. The handling of the kidnap of over 200 school girls has been handled so badly that it took the international community to speak out before the government acknowledged their kidnap. To date the President has not visited the North Eastern part of the country.

We have an opportunity to change guards in Aso Rock. To send in a stable hand to pilot the craft of our nation Nigeria that has been flying blindly. To bring in a man who will work tirelessly to reposition Nigeria for greatness. To put aside religion, ethnicity and political differences and put Nigeria first.

This is our golden opportunity. This petition is to call on Governor Fashola to consider running for the highest office in Nigeria. It is also to ask All Progressive Congress (APC), Nigeria's main opposition party to put forward Governor Fashola as their candidate for office of President in the February 2015 elections. For all who wish to seea better Nigeria, this is a clarion call. To all Nigerians at home and in diaspora, this is a call to stand up and revolutionize Nigeria through the ballot bot by supporting this great son of Nigeria. Lend your voice to this noble cause!
