The city finally gave us the green light for the Lakeside market. My feet are tired after all this, but knowing we created a space for our local growers makes the effort worthwhile.

This has been a topic for while now, its time to get it rolling! Farmers markets help small businesses and families gain profit and a stronger community! If you have never been to a Farmers Market before well.. you are missing out! For those of us who have, we know it all to well!
Let me help paint a picture for you... Imagine walking up to a market when you enter the row for the first moment ( meeting a friend or relatives at the front entrance) the smells, the sounds, the excitement of what goodies you will find! Going on an adventure together to seek delicious wonders and arts. You walk past a booth and the smell hits your nose! BANG! Fresh baked goods or the scent of fresh flowers! The aromas of fruit hit you like a truck and you can't help but follow your nose to these fabulous finds! Meeting new people in your community and making new friends!
This is only the tip of the ice as to why I love Farmers Markets! I hope you all will join in the fun and exciting journey of bringing this dream to life!

Reaching this point has been an exhausting uphill climb but seeing the momentum grow makes the struggle feel worth it. I am drained by the resistance we face yet this progress proves our community truly wants this change.

Can't wait to see this happen. Looking forward to going with my family like I use to when I was a kid.
This is a no-brainer and I am still baffled as to how it doesn't already exist with the culture of the community.
I would love nothing more than to buy fresh fruit and vegetables that are grown locally. Also would love to see the local crafters with booths. Let’s make this happen.
I have lived in Lakeside for 39 years, I married a native lakeside cowboy. We go to the Santee Farmers market and would love to support a Farmers market in our own town.
A farmer’s market would celebrate the agricultural history of Lakeside and benefit the community.
I would love to havea farmer's market
