For years insurance companies and their lobbyist have argued that Autism is a developmental disability that should be addressed through Educational Services and not via medical services. There has been studies that prove that therapies such as ABA services improve the lives of those with Autism. These therapies should be classified as medical services just as rehabilitation therapies are. Not as educational therapies. I encourage all you to sign this petition to better the lives of those with Autism. Give them the diginity, respect, and medical treatment they deserve. Tell the President we need a Federal Autism Mandate. A mandate that insures all those with Autism and Autism Spectrum receive the medical treatment they so desperately need. Dear President Obama, We are writing you today to request that a Federal Autism Mandate be inacted. So that our loved ones get the medical therapies that they need. There are already 32 states that see the importance of this Mandates. So much so they have already inacted them. Help those that cannot help themselves. Help them have a chance in this life. ABA Therapies and other medically needed treatments could help them function as normal adults. In 2008 you drafted a bill that would inact a Federal Autism Mandate.
