We need our churches to be opened for worship without further delay. Prayers are of utmost importance especially at this time and are very very essential. Churches , therefore, are to be imperatively considered as Essential Services.

Our spiritual essence is a major aspect of our very existence. For those of faith, being able to worship in a sacred place is a primary need that helps people live; sustaining hope, nurturing the person, supporting, inspiring and concreting the life we have. To be distant from this is a personal attack on all these aspects of those of faith.

If you have data that particular faith based settings were disproportionately responsible for COVID infections, then deal individually with those venues instead of painting all faith-based organisations with the same brush, and be honest about who is doing the right thing and who is not.

It seams only fair and appropriate that the model follows that of more successful State reopenings like here in Queensland, for example, where the number of attendants was determined by the size and resources of the venue.
