The loss of the Mass and the sacraments have been distressing to so many. People have not been able to farewell their loved ones, who have died in the meantime.

Premier Andrews, the extension of abortion laws to allow later term abortions and the law that assists the most vulnerable to take their own life are all distressing to our morals and values, and now we have been deprived of spiritual sustenance, is it an intentional assault on your part, is it an opportunistic assault on your part, or is it a genuine concern for our health and safety? When we see that restaurants can open to 20 patrons indoors and 50 outdoors, it is nonsensical that restaurant patrons are at a restaurant or café sitting opposite one another and having wait staff bend over to server these patrons eating food prepared by kitchen staff are safer, than Church goers all sitting and standing front to back with one or two vacant pews between them. I hear the arguments about not undoing the good work but when there is obvious inequality in the laws then that just encourages disobedience.

We would like to stress that it is no longer acceptable to have worshippers banned and request that churches are allowed to get back to normal as the threat of contracting the virus is not in the churches.

Premier Andrews, This is the first time in my life,(76yrs old). I cannot attend & celebrate my birthday to date in Church with my community and family, say the Rosary together and be blessed by the Priest. You are always included in my prayer. Jacqueline Therese

We are in a ridiculous situation where we are forbidden to have a small group of responsible persons in a very large area such as a church for a short time.

Religious discrimination! From a Catholic so was Hitler this Andrews government wants to impose taxes on us to treat us as a pokies venue, pay your taxes and you can open or else?? A church looked upon as another business instead of what it really is, a great opportunity for the Andrews government to grab money and regard us as a pub, club or just a pokies venue. Maybe he should pay his share of fines and tax responsibility for the hotel blunder why doesn't he pay a huge fine where is the responsibility, words are cheap but he wants the churches to become a licensed venue, this is communism nothing more and worse because it's coming from a Catholic, wake up Australia!

I think that reopening churches is essential. It can be done in a safe way but on a spiritual level is as important if not more important than going to the supermarket. It is about spiritual nourishment.
