Mr Premier, you are allowing people to go to shopping centres to shop why not allow our churches to open with social distancing and hygiene measures in place as previously. Going to church is a vital part of our life and contributes to our overall well being, mental and physical.
It is our right to be able to practice our faith and at he moment it has been taken away from us.

Our faith is extremely important to our spiritual and mental health. It is imperative that we constantly practice the holy rituals of our church and religion as we put God above everything. We put our trust in His hands. I believe it is unfair that people can visit shopping centres and markets in great numbers with little to no social distancing and places of worship can’t even be visited in small numbers with safe measures put in place. It would be easy to control at least 10 - 30 patrons in the church at one time. It is a large space and provides plenty of room for social distancing. Please consider our request to open churches - our communities understand the impact of the pandemic and respect the health and safety of everyone and our Churches will further communicate this importance to our community as they have already been doing. Faith communities provide an essential connection to many in the community and many are now suffering depression, loneliness and disconnection by no longer being able to meet. Faith communities know who attends their services so any contact tracing would be way more effective than contact tracing from someone who went to the local shops.
