EQUALITY FOR VICTORIA’S PEOPLE OF FAITH

Dear Premier People of faith deserve the same entitlements as people of business- additionally in considering the wellbeing of community members it is extremely important for Victorians coming out of the strictest Covid19 lockdowns in the world that those members of the community have the right to practice their faith in the same manner that businesses e.g retail & hospitality, will have the right to return to trading that is set out in the current road map to life with Covid19. allowing pubs to have 50 patrons and places of faith only ten is grossly unfair. It’s is disproportionate to the health risk. We are able to manage hygiene and distancing like schools are. You are impeding our rights to practise religion for ideological reasons and we have had enough

Let us go to church for comfort & hope

We want our churches opened up as per normal service . I do t think anyone or any government has the right to tell us what to believe in and how we should practice our faith.

By wearing masks and staying 1.5m apart we should be able to attend mass inside our church

After this amount of time "mass for you at home " does not quite satisfy like being in the presence of God.

I would sacrifice my allowance to go to the grocery shop for food to go to church to receive the body & blood of Christ. I would rather starve than be deprived from Holy Communion and the Holy Sacraments. For us, spiritual food for our souls is more important than food for the body. How can we expect God to help us in this time of need when we’ve turned our backs and shut His Churches? Please open our churches!! Our spiritual Fathers are our doctors! We are sick and we need them, they are our councellors.

Open up our Churches please

The same way Daniel Andrews and his cohort are sympathetic towards physical and mental wellbeing, those of us who identify ourselves as "believers and followers of Christ" are desperately in need of "Spiritual" wellbeing too!! We have been overlooked, deprived of attending places of Worship > 8 months, disgusting and completely unacceptable to say the least. If COVID is so contagious, then all supermarkets and similar stores (especially bottle shops) should be closed to the public as well, restricting only to outdoor sales, 5 people at a time. Is COVID so clever that it knows not to spread the virus in supermarkets, bottle shops, cafes and restaurants?? This is discrimination at its highest. Talk about "inclusiveness, diversity, tolerance" and a whole lot of adjectives our leaders use for anything and everything except Christian FAITH - it's nothing but hypocrisy! Stop being a bully Mr Andrews. As a Catholic you are a huge disappointment to “The Flock”.
