How is 70 people outside a pub safer or more important than 20 people socially distancing inside their place of worship??

This is especially important for the elderly. The church provides a sense of community and a great deal of support.

Nobody could have been more covid safe and comply with every guide rule than our churches. It is a total act of discrimination against the Christian churches.

It is not only the well being of believers that we are concerned about but those who are seeking the support such as many churches offer in such a time as this.

Given that there are not normally consecutive services at a church (as opposed to multiple consecutive sittings at a restaurant), it is easier for churches to ensure proper cleaning takes place between uses. It is also easier for churches to socially distance community members by only using every second or third pew. As such, banning the use of churches while allowing restaurants and pubs to operate indoors can only be seen as anti-religious bigotry.

Damial Andrews He should be ashamed of himself.
He started the 2nd wave of the virus, he is a liar and he is responsible all of this . He is good at putting the blame on everyone else beside himself. A man of little Faith. The DOLLAR IS MORE , AND HIS FAITH IS LITTLE.

Churches are protected under The Australian Constitution... (The free exercise of religion).
This is one of the founding concepts of a free country.
People of faith should not be negatively discriminated against. Rather houses of worship should be considered essential services.

Please consider opening Churches we need to attend mass as this helps us to get mental support
