I am of Eastern Orthodox Catholic Faith.
I have extended family who are of the Roman Catholic Faith.
“We glory in tribulations” (Rom. 5:3)
The Labour State Government implemented the worlds most drastic and disproportionate security measures during the pandemic along with the denial of fundamental human rights. It has been a “sanitary dictatorship,” which for its part also reveals itself as a political dictatorship.
Above all in times of crisis, it is integral that we have access to our churches and chapels, to the Sacraments, and to public devotions and prayers.
The discrimination & persecutions against Christians like myself, have only made me more steadfast & determined to remain a fervent supporter for God.

please reopen our Catholic churches & all churches of worship, we obey the protocol of sanitizing, wiping the seat, the seat in front & seat behind etc. We are all told to go to toilet before we arrive. and stay very safe...God bless, May we all stay very well. Thank you

The Age:
Metro Melbourne restrictions eased
From 11.59pm - Tuesday, October 27: Outdoor religious ceremonies with up to 20 people, in addition to those required for the service. Indoor services can be held with up to 10.
From 11.59pm - Sunday, November 8: Faith gatherings will have an outdoor maximum of 50 people plus one faith leader, while there will be an indoor maximum of 20 people plus one faith leader.
However, keep up the petition so that - pending virus numbers keep low or to zero - more people will be able to safely gather for Christmas and beyond. It is now up to the places of worship to keep things clean and safe for everyone.

All we are asking is for fairness and equality with other venues when it comes to the practice of our Faith. Please Mr Andrews, allow us to open up our places of worship responsibly, sooner rather than later.

With all due respect people congregating in their church can be spaced apart to make it safe during the service.I am a hairdresser during hair services clients can be in the salon up to 3 hours or even 4 hours at a time with other clients being in the salon.So if Covid safe measures are put in place for everywhere it should not be a problem.As restrictions were being eased during the 1st lockdown.Were their any covid cases that came from church?As far as I know their weren’t.When you have gatherings at the supermarket or markets where there is constant people coming and going,how is that ok and not ok to attend a church service.It does not stack up.Also we wear face masks where that has a high rate of protection as it has been mentioned by health professionals.So by not allowing people to attend their place of worship,it is contradictory to what has been said about the level of protection you get from wearing face masks.So it’s like saying,from one hand you have protection with face masks,and on the other hand you don’t.It does not stack up.Please reconsider decisions that have made,and to allow all people to attend their place of worship in a covid normal for everybody.Regards Chris

We agreed to and have always followed the State's advice regarding the Covid restriction, however in recent times, we feel a lack of comprehension and compassion on church goers, when certain no. of people are allowed to be in the pub whereas a place of worship is so limited and has to be in the open. I have been to Sydney's cathedral and a local parish just before Victoria's lockdown and saw how causcious they were: with seats allotted, that one has to sign with the phone contact on arrivals, many volunteers were there to make sure that everything is within the restriction rule. The places of worship are generally very spacious and I do hope we can practice our faith as a community!
