We want a FAIR federal individual income tax rate system!
We, the undersigned, tax-paying citizens of the United States of America, understand the importance of the federal individual income tax. However, as citizens of the middle and lower economic classes, we are tired of taking on the greatest burden of our current federal income taxes!
Since 1986, the highest tax bracket has not paid over 39.6% of their income above $2-300,000 per year! That means, for the majority of the population, larger portions of our smaller paychecks are removed for taxes than those for the minority of people who make enough money to feed a small nation - people who can afford to pay more without risking their own survival! We want to correct this grave injustice!
We demand that the U.S. Federal Individual Income Tax Rate System return to a truly marginal tax rate system with brackets reaching as high as into the several millions with top bracket rates of >50%, while people who earn less than a 6-digit income fall into brackets with less than 25% tax rates! We refer to the tax rate table from 1917 as a model for a fair and just tax rate system.
