Treat Musicians as Equal Workers
Shows and productions often take great pains to ensure their acting talent, writers, crew, and other workers all receive fair union wages, benefits and protections. Yet musicians are systematically denied these same standards and receive no benefits, no health care, no pension, no protections, and no respect.
Union contracts offer the only enforceable protections from discrimination available to every working person, and musicians should not be denied fair working conditions like those enjoyed by their colleagues.
Why are musicians being treated differently? We don't think that's right.
Musicians aren’t asking for huge wage increases, or extravagant bonuses. All we want is to be offered a fair contract in line with the industry standard. Stand with us and tell make sure musicians are held to the same fair standard as all other workers!
