I purchased the home (Cleave View Estate) from Countrywide homes in Brampton. I am in the same situation, unable to close on my new home and unable to sell my current home.

I believe that some policies should definitely be made for people who bought pre-construction homes and now do not have enough equity to afford the new home. Not saying that government/builders should make up the difference, but there should be some compromise to ensure that people are not left in ruin.

Yes, we should all sue every company that's ever existed. My tv went down in price since I bought it too. This is a good class action suit!!

Yes many wealthy are moving to Northern York to be closer to their second home in the Muskokas. But it still begs the question. How will those who popped the bubble get reelected when everyone from first time home buyer to empty nester had their equity evaporate? Wynne is finished.

Population of South Asian in Mississauga and also in Brampton both larger than Oakville''s 180000 population according to 2016 census. West is best and with Masjid Moor Ul Haram opening one must expect diversity to come to.Oakville.

Agree! Mattamy didn't follow municipal regulations about price drop protection. Purchasers are entitled to a credit of 110% of the difference (per council amendment 65v.89 of the consumers advocacy act) Walmart, best buy and Amazon play by the rules, so should builders

Govt needs to build a wall around this neighbourhood to keep foreign buyers out. entrance tolls can be collected at the gate and used to support the families, especially during the holidays when their budgets are stretched

Builders are also facing the consequences. Have you seen their asking price lately? Down significantly from last year. Stop being full of yourself.

Disagree - govt. needs to intervene when a group of people act stupidly and ruin things for others.

Govt. rightfully intervened because some people became delusional and went way above their heads. No thanks - govt. should do what New Zealand did with foreign ownership. Agree with your other comments about Wynne govt.

Wait, what? Govt. should "force builder to discount the price"? What else do you want govt. to do? Teach people how not to be stupid?
