We, the undersigned, ask the Nebraska State Legislature to consider passing a bill that would force the major players in the recent economic meltdown--mainly banks, insurance companies such as AIG, and other major human actors who, by abusing the unregulated "credit debt swaps" and "derivative" market, defrauded the Nebraska taxpayers out of billions of dollars, to be transparent, open and honest with the people of Nebraska. The bill should make it illegal for banks to perform behind an opaque wall.
