The school board just voted to overhaul the disciplinary system and implement the safeguards we fought for. I have spent years thinking about the kids who were failed by the old policies so seeing this change is deeply moving. We finally have a path toward a fairer process for every …
We, the undersigned, support review and improvement of the current disciplinary system in Fairfax County (VA) Public Schools.

My son was treated so unfairly last year. The rules are applied so differently depending on who you are. This needs fixing now.

Too many kids getting suspended for nothing. FCPS needs a real look at these policies. Keep them in class.

Yes!! We need more restorative justice and less kicking kids out. It ruins their future over small mistakes.

Finally someone is doing something about this. My daughter was in tears because no one would listen to her side of the story. Zero transparency.

Accountability is fine but this is just broken. Nothing is consistent across the schools. Fix it.
