Our country was founded on the ideal that \"all men are created equal\". While affirmative action and other such laws are aimed at creating equal opportunity, they fail to achieve this objective. These laws discriminate against majorities by giving unjust advantages to minorities. Extra points should not be given for university admissions, job applications, government programs, government bids, or anything else if its based on ethnicity. We feel that it is just as wrong to give points for being a minority as it is to take them away. Standards should not be lowered to meet people\'s needs.People should be expected to rise up and meet qualifications and these qualifications should be the same for everyone. There is no place for laws like affirmative action in an \"equal\" society.
