They make the money. Why should we have to pay their taxes for them?

i definately smell a rat!! it wasnt very long ago that the state told NWE no on raising rates so high. on the news yesterday they said NWE told them that our bills were estimated due to equipment failure and now tonight, NWE is saying they had a truck that broke down and had to be fixed. the state needs to get involved and NWE needs to be investigated and they need to be made to make it right with customers. this is ridiculous. our bill has never been over $90 even in the winter and this month it was $292. nothing has changed in our household. i do

January bill was a $40 increase, and February bill was $70 more than January.

Northwestern energy needs to be stopped. They have a complete monopoly over us. They are just Montana power with the same corruption rebranded.

I understand having to increase the rates a small amount. What I don't understand is increasing the rates to the point that my bill has DOUBLED. I don't know how the officials of this company can sleep at night knowing the burden the have placed on many households across Montana and we are now faced with choosing between paying our power bill and basic live necessities such as FOOD. I hope that there is room for reconsideration of the rate hike.
