We have had concerns in the past regarding inflated bills. After reaching out to a NWE represetative, we were treated with rude commentary and no explanation for the significant increase in charges other than it was cold outside. Last year there was a similar incident with bills spiking for a month an don social media a NWE rep indicated it could be because customers are not unplugging their TVs when there not home. This ridiculous commentary just confirms NWE is not taking the concerns of their customer base seriously. It's time for a change!

Unfair/illegal billing! It's unreal, how can you do this to struggling families in Montana?! While you give yourselves exorbitant raises?? NO excuses!! Every customer should get a massive break on their "mistake" billing and a fair rate. This is not right. If I hadn't payed my 80 year old father's bill this last month, his bill would not have been paid. Almost $400!! It's unreal. No way did he use that much power/gas. His wife (my Mom) lives in a dementia memory care center, not even at home, so please, your billing is not only outrageous it's completely b.s.

Our bill doubled this month. I sent the payment. This household is on a fixed income, I thought last month of over
$400.00 was too much, this month was over $800.00. I think next month should be on you.

Our usage went down compared to the month of January and our February bill was almost double. It's getting a bit ridiculous.

Every time I turn around my rates are higher. Makes me an old fart, but one of the worst things this state ever did was to allow the deregulation of Montana Power.

This is not right , criminal at that . really to make us pay for these estimated bills then to fix them . these are not actual meter reads . we should not have to pay for nwe problems of poor equipment not working

Our bill went up from 90 for 400$ a 200$ delivery fee for January and then up to 500$ our last bill. A 250$ delivery charge.

Im a broke college student so when I went home for over a month for the holidays, I was expecting my bills to be quite low. Boy was I wrong. With a bill more than double than usual, I had to postpone buying some of my textbooks just to pay my bills on time.

The news article linked sounds to me like straight up incompetence, poor training & shady business practices. If you can't read a meter, get on your feet & LOOK at it. Repair your equipment before you overcharge your customers. NWE can only get away with this cause they're the monopoly around here.
