Live in Billings, MT our bill went from $126 in December to $305 in January. Also to add, we were not home for 2 weeks in January, on vacation. No electricity usage, except for the appliances plugged in. Friggin' outrageous!

It is ridiculous the extra charges we have to pay and I feel like we're hostages because if we don't pay then we have no lights, heat, etc. We live paycheck to paycheck as it is. Low income people are at the mercies of companies like this! So, tell me, do we go without food or much needed medicines?

I live alone, and the fact that my power bill went from 126$ a month, to $480 is outrageous. I cannot afford to pay triple my bill every month! This needs to be fixed!

This is beyond Ridiculous. Our Bill went from $106 to $380 in one month. There is no way that is true. I've never had a bill that high in one month.

Northwestern energy has a controlling monopoly over montana. We have to pay our taxes, so they should have to pay theirs. Not pass it on to the consumer.

This last month we cut down on nearly every electronic in our household, bringing us LOWER than before. But my payment went from 231 (still outrageously high) to over 600. They claim this is "accurate".

We were called about a week ago and informed that due to a "broken piece inside our meter " for the last 3 months apparently we were undercharged and we infact had a balance of almost $130. Even though we were completely paid up apparently this supposed faulty piece that went bad is our fault and not theirs. How is the meter reading but is off and where did this calculation come from???

My last utility bill went from around 250 A month for last 2-3 months to 514 talk about shock, thank you for creating this petition, and why do we pay for delivery and supply? We never used to, we should only have to pay for what we actually use

I live in Butte, and I can not believe the prices they are putting on heating and electricity. No one wanted that new building anyway, they still have not put in that parking structure they promised so they are hurting other business whose customers have no where to park since NWE employees take all their spots, and now they want ME to pay for their taxes?

The recent hikes in not only my bill, but others as well, is rediculous. We the people should have a say in what is done, before it is done. Not all families in montana are wealthy enough to not care about these hikes. The government has to start thinking about what is going to benefit the state, not the rich getting richer and the poor not getting a thing.
