They need more funding

As a grandparent I see how nursery schools are so important for our young people development.

Nursery school funding needs to increase in order to offer more services and improve the services that are currently being offered. This is only done through increased funding, training, and acquiring of more resources.

Early Childhood Education is important!

Early childhood education is so important.

ECES need a higher wager. As a ece if we are not able to maker higher wages people who love this field will be forced to leave and find careers in other fields.

children are our future.

Fair is fair. Whichever option parents choose for structured early learning should receive the same proportional funding as other options. It all helps to prepare children for success in school.

Many families across manitoba rely on nursery schools to enhance their child's early learning. Whether for social interaction with peers, structured play based learning with a qualified staff or as a part time childcare option for their preschool child, nursery schools should be considered equally as valuable as child care centres. The government needs to increase funding for nursery schools in order for them to continue to be an early years educational option for manitoba families. Without licensed nursery schools many families will have to turn to for profit activities where the quality of care and learning may not be as high, as these programs are being taught by untrained individuals. Please enhance funding so that myself and other Early Childhood educators can continue to offer quality early learning experiences for families requiring our service.

I agree, more funding is needed! but the Nursery School programs are not 4 hours and not on a Monday thu Friday schedule. children usually go 2 or 3 times a week for abut 2 and 1/2 hours each class!

Times have changed and it is definitely time for the government to recognize and acknowledge the importance and effectiveness of the Nursery School environment in the lives of the children they touch by giving them the financial funding they deserve. Why are nursery schools funded so poorly compared to daycare. They provide richer programming which in the end creates better citizens.
