Ridiculous rates for this years winter session. Advisors are of no help. Son is a junior and still cannot get into required classes for major.

My daughter is a junior & has been experiencing extreme difficulty with getting required classes & advisor just says to wait, very stressful!!

Despite being a Junior status and honors college my son ran into significant problems getting in to required classes and has received no meaningful support from his advisor.

A horrible money grab, one of many, by UD. Parents and students are overwhelmed by the expenses. I heard very unfavorable things about the advisors being "useless" and over the past four years I've come to understand that. But, is it really them or an inept, perhaps even corrupt, administration? For this reason, I will not recommend UD to anyone. In fact, I will strongly discourage everyone I encounter. Such a shame, beautiful perfect size campus. Do better UD!

Students shouldn't be shut out of classes that they need.

-Too many of the upper level classes have closed classes with very small small caps.
-There needs to be additional on-line options so more students can get into basic courses they need. These students grew up with online classes and most actually enjoy taking some!
-The winter session rates are insane! I paid less per credit to get my doctorate degree. Out of state students can not afford to take winter classes.

Wish the school would properly staff itself. U del needs to divert some of the $ from soft issues & get back to what the university is paid to do- educate our students in the major subject areas they choose to study.

Require more from advisors. Put in place a process for students to get assistance when advisors aren't helping. Offer more sections of required classes- you know how many students are enrolled so you get an idea that you will need X # of seats for a particular class - especially in majors that have a narrow choice for breadth classes.

My son is a freshmen and left on his own to pick classes tomorrow with no direction from an advisor. They held a group meeting that was not conducive to class times and no student wants to miss classes they pay for.

The lack of support and guidance for our students is atrocious. If I had to do this over again my daughter would not go to UD. I tell all prospective applicants that ask my opinion to look elsewhere.

My third year student has not only had difficulty registering for core classes, but also classes in her major and minor, which is making her consider dropping a minor so she can graduate on time! In addition, she has at least one professor each year who cancels classes EXCESSIVELY each semester. For the amount of money charged per class, I would expect better attendance by the professors. Her fashion professor was legitimately never there. It was appalling.

my daughter’s advisor never responded to her request for a meeting. She is a Freshman Honors/Distinguished Scholar and was still completely ignored. She was also supposed to receive priority scheduling, but was unable to get several classes, due to them already being filled and was forced to take a spring she had this semester, who never once attended her class!! It seems UD may be better at Marketing than providing what they promised. I was so happy she chose UD, but now I am seeing the cracks. Please do better UD! We all want to LOVE their time there.

Not only did s my daughter trying to get this class for 3 yrs but there is a only one teacher for this course and he apparently is not a good teacher.this is what we pay for.
