As things stand the Greens place trans rights above and at the expense pf the rights of women and hence I am no longer able to support the Greens after 20 + years

The green party should beware the creep of totalitarian thought control by a group that does not want its (lack of) logic questioned. The cries of "transphobia" are far too frequently heard as a means to silence quite reasonable discussion. For shame, Greens, that you are taken in by this.

Because I agree. The transgender 'movement' has a lot more power than their numbers would warrant. No,not a terf, just a woman who has fought all her life for women's place in the world only to be pushed out of even being a woman.

Women are adult human females. We need single sex spaces away from ALL males regardless of their chosen “gender identity”

The Greens need to support all people and their human rights, which includes women - not just men, and men who claim to be women.

No one can be forced to believe an ideology they don't believe in. An ideology that harms children and lesbian and gay teens, and women losing long fought for equality rights. It's NOT ON to dictate!

I have been saddened, enraged and stunned by the Party and it's recent abandonment of women and democratic process. I find myself unable to vote @Greens due to this.

I spent 4 years on City of Melbourne with Rohan Leppert. He is one of the smartest and most decent people I’ve ever worked with. It is a travesty that the Twitter mob are ruining the Greens like this.

What both women have stated is the truth. Trans people have their rights but not at the expense of the rights of women and children.

As Sebastian Coe said 'I've always made it clear: if we ever get pushed into a corner to that point where we're making a judgement about fairness or inclusion, I will always fall down on the side of fairness.'

Discussion and the democratic process is vital, particularly for hard and emotionally driven topics. Social media lynching mobs based on misinformation is not the way to make decisions. I don't accept this misogynist silencing of women's voices.

The left needs to embrace debate on multiple issues.

The Greens reject climate change denial, how can they then do biology denial. As an ex Greens member from Victoria I am sad about their downfall.

Women have a fundamental right to speak up for our sexed based rights. It's deplorable that men think it's ok to silence us. Logic, sexual equality and sex based rights has gone backwards. Misogyny is rife in the greens.

When environmental issues are life-threatening for the planet and all life that relies upon it, the one party that existed to fight against climage change, has got diverted into a pointless battle about a divisive social concept and begun using anti-democratic and authoritarian practices to oppress anyone who disagrees with the dogmatic assertion that "transgender women are women". The capitalists and their corporations will be rubbing their hands together with glee over the windfall profits they'll extract from their abuses of the planet while anti climate change campaigners are otherwise engaged deciding who is and who is not a "transphobe".

I fully support this letter. I have voted Greens in the senate at recent elections, but will not continue to do so if this behaviour in the Greens continues.
