In anticipation of the upcoming, nation-wide tour, the idea of Switchfoot playing Fading West all the way through at each show has been presented to the band by their fans. This was done with their 2010 album, Hello Hurricane, for a majority of the first leg of the Hello Hurricane tour, an experience many fans will always remember and cherish.

While this decision is obviously one to be made by the members of Switchfoot, we, as fans, would like to show our support for the possibility of this experience on the Fading West tour. The devotion and passion that has gone into this album by Jon, Tim, Chad, Jerome, and Drew is worth celebrating, and the lengths they have gone to to uncover these songs around the globe (as documented in the film Fading West) are so appreciated by fans. And so we want to give it all back, to show our own excitement for these songs and to share them with the band that inspires us on a daily basis.

Regardless of whether Switchfoot decides to play the album all the way through, the Fading West tour will be monumental--full of energy and soaring with hope. We hope the band will take this idea into consideration when creating the setlists for upcoming shows.
