A baby and mother is entitled to the best health outcomes available within a society. Research confirms that to achieve such outcomes Breastfeeding is the optimal feeding method. To deny a dyad this protective action is to be responsible for the adverse impact on their health.

All industries need to support Mothers returning to work who make the commitment & decision to continue breastfeeding. If Mother's don't express at the normal babies feeding time the supply will suffer. Breast feeding is a natural way to feed our babies but not nessasary the easiest method without having the support. For health reasons it wouldn't be a safe practice to express milk in a public toliet or bathroom. You wouldn't handle food in a bathroom or eat lunch in a bathroom so clearly expressing shouldn't have to be done in this manner.

Having parent facilities especially to facilitate breastfeeding should be as fundamental as offering toilet amenities. Please rectify this gross oversight immediately.

I was told by my employer just yesterday, the only room they have available for me to pump in, is the toilet.

Every workplace should be able to provide a private, safe, comfortable and clean environment to express to support women returning to work! Not sure about you but expressing takes time it not a quick 5 minute thing more like 10-15 minutes each side!

I'm not a mother & not a lawyer. However it's obvious that breasts are to feed babies & all women should have access to adequate facilities to express milk at work & shopping centres.

At least provide a room. My work has been wonderful. I've expressed at work after 2 babies. They're a small family owned business, it surprises me lawyer's don't have access to a private place to express.
